Red Sox

Kate and I were fortunate enough to be unexpectedly invited to the Red Sox game this past Sunday. Part of our obligation of attending the game was that we were to be K-Men. The K-Men are the fans who post "K's" on the Green Monster Wall when the Ace pitcher records a strike out.

The group is an unsanctioned part of the Red Sox entertainment staff, and the club reserves our tickets and ropes off our section of the stadium so that we can conduct our work during the game without interference from other fans. A family friend of Kate's has been a K-Man for many years and we had so much fun.

Our seats were pretty ridiculous too. We were straight away in center field with a great view of home plate and entire stadium. It was our first time watching a game from on top of the Monster and we hope that we can do it again soon. As a bonus, they actually won the game too!

On the Monster with our faces painted.
See the "K" to right? Jon Lester was the pitcher and he recorded 5 of them - not bad.
A picture from our spot.
We had fairly good weather for April. It drizzled before the game, but cleared for the start. It was mostly sunny and in the low 60's with a steady breeze from right to left. There were a couple of crazy plays where the wind played a factor.

Kate and Ben showing some love!
Kate's "crush" - Jacoby Ellsbury. I think Kate took about 20 pictures of his "assets"!
Kate trying to pinch his rear end, but he's a married man and was having none of that!

The Continuing Kitchen Renovation

A couple of weekends ago, Kate and I decided to replace our kitchen faucet. The new faucet matches our new appliances, and is a big upgrade in terms of ease of use. We are very happy with it. Here are some pictures from the install and the finished product.

Maggie is checking in to see how the installation is going.

Maggie approves. Thanks for the help cat!

Done and done! It took about an hour to complete and we are happy with the results.

I don't want to brag...but I think I am getting pretty handy around the house.
