Aside from the impressive displays, we were able to get a lot of ideas for what types of plants and landscaping options we might like for our own home this spring and summer.

Boston Flower Show
Kate and I took a ride into Boston last Wed. to check out the Boston Flower Show. I never thought I would go to a flower show, but it wasn't all that bad actually. Once we fought through the elderly crowds, we made it inside and were pretty blown away by the size and detail in many of the highlighted displays.
Aside from the impressive displays, we were able to get a lot of ideas for what types of plants and landscaping options we might like for our own home this spring and summer.

Pictures from our trip
Here are some pictures from our last visit with my family.
Kate and I looked at a new house while we were visiting; our money will go a lot further outside of New England! Just kidding...my parents bought us tickets to tour the Biltmore Estate as a xmas present. It was pretty amazing how big this place is. Kate and I really enjoyed it, and we had great weather to tour the rest of the estate while we were there.

This is front of the green houses as you left the mansion. Most of the plant-life outside is dead , but it is still greener and prettier then what we left!
We took a tour of the winery they have in one of the the estate's three villages. This is the villages clock tower. It has clocks on three sides, but the fourth side is painted on and faces the fields. The tour guide said the cows didn't need to know what time it was.
I was hoping to post more pictures, but I think a group of them were accidentally erased from the camera...technology! That's all for now, but thanks you Jill, Lee, Jake, Mom, and Dad for having us. We really enjoyed our trip and we wish we had more time to spend with you.
Love you,
Ricky and Kate

Weekend with Jill, lee, jake, and our Parents
We took a drive a couple of weeks ago to see my sister and her family outside of Washington D.C. and then onto my parents in South Carolina. We had great weather during our visit, but some stormy driving on the way down. The bikes and ourselves made in one piece thankfully.
Our first stop at Jill and Lee's was so much fun. We took the driving tour of the monuments and were able to spend a lot of quality time with Jake; who is turning into quite the little man. We spent most of Sat. touring the Smithsonian Museum of American History which we really enjoyed.
The following day we left for my parents, with much better driving conditions. We arrived with temp's in the 70's! A big improvement from the the temp's and weather we left in NH (14" of snow the day we left...Thanks Ben and Chucky for taking care of the driveway and house while we were away)!
We had a great visit and are looking forward to our next trip down south. I will follow up with pictures from our trip shortly, but I can smell dinner cooking and I am hungry! G'night!
