more decorations
Hi everyone, we hope you had a very merry Christmas. We wanted to thank everyone for the kind gifts. Mike and Christine our kitties would like to thank you for their new toys! I have put some pictures of our house and some of the girls playing with their toys. We finally got some snow here I will have to get outside and take some pictures for all of you who may be missing it! The next project we will be working on here is our counter tops we are painting them so we will post pictures when we are done. Enjoy the pictures we wish you all a happy new year, and we hope to see you soon.
This looks better with snow around it!
That is Maggie on the top and Penny on the bottom. This video is the two of them all crazy from the cat nip. What is in that stuff!

Hi again. Kate and I were busy again today, this time starting up our Xmas decorating. Kate has been rapidly building an arsenal of Xmas spirit over the past couple weeks, honing her shopping skills! We picked up some lights, wreaths, and a tree today, along with other holiday essentials. I have also included a couple updated pictures from the kitchen - new microwave; no more range hood!
Happy Holidays everyone! We hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving this long weekend and didn't work too hard. Kate and I had our first Thanksgiving dinner in our new home this year and we think it turned out pretty well. We really enjoyed having everyone over and being able to show off the progress we have made over the last five months. It was nice to give Kate's parents a break for a change. As you can see, the turkey was edible and everything came out as we hoped it would. I feel much better about future holiday dinners now that we have gotten the first one out of the way and know what to expect. Here are some pictures from the day.

The kitchen
Hi everyone, we wanted to thank everyone for recognizing our anniversary. It is hard to believe that a year has passed. We had so much fun at our wedding and we have all of you to thank.
We have been working hard on our kitchen. We bought a new refrigerator yesterday and we should have it in the next three weeks. We put a new floor down a few weeks ago. We have pulled down the wall paper and painted. We have some pictures to show you what we have done. We have decided to keep the cabinets just the way they are, the color looks great with them. Here are some pictures, we hope you like them.

Me painting, not easy being short!
I like our plates with the color we picked
The mess we made, and Maggie in the mess!
Our new floor!
Our new stove!
These next few are the finished look for now until we do our counter tops. The pink does not show up as much though!
These are random, but I played Martha Stewart and covered the chair cushions and hung new curtains on the porch.

House in the fall!
We have done some work to the mural. We wallpapered with a textured wallpaper and painted it. I went to a consignment shop and found a great buffet table. We decorated and now it feels like a home! We hope you like our new dining room. We also did some outside fall decorating - we hope you like it!
We hung the basket on the opposite wall.
This is the mural with just the wallpaper.
Here is the finished wall you can see the texture now.
Our new buffet table, I love it!
Evening setting with the light on!
I found a stair basket!
I hope we get trick or treaters!
